i would just like to say that Avast find Mirc chat programme to be a virus. since this wasn't the only programme to be found as virus (and it wasn't ) and since i warned thier development team about false recognition and they didn't fix it (eventhough they said they did) i removed the avast. i also hated the rotating A and too constant updates when i was doing something else on computer... |

I didn't read it. BTW if you look into FAQ it says this: Every game on this site is checked for viruses! Actually we try to make all games we supply appear just as they did in their original packagings! |

All games on Abandonia are virus-free. The same thing happened to me with an old antivirus called "Pc Cillin" when I was playing Metal Slug. Try to update AVAST and if nothing change simply ignore it. |

Just ignore the warning, there's definitely no virus in any game you get from Abandonia. |

I am using F-secure (Anti-Virus for Workstations 7.00 build 220) and according to it Cannon Fodder is clean, it might be a false positive. However, leave it untill you are completely sure. You could try some different AV scanners to find out if it might be a false alarm, for example you could test it on kaspersky's online scanner: http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus This is actually mentioned in the cannon fodder thread, so you might want ot read that too, not really any clear answers though, but it seems it's only Avast! that complains of it. - Arand |

Virus Found in Download, Want Explanation I just downloaded Cannon Fodder, and was extracting it from the ZIP when AVAST! (my anti-virus program) popped up and said that the exe file was infected with a virus, I chose to leave it alone and to not open the file yet. I would like an explanation for this. I considered Abandonia a place where I could download some of my favorite old games, and now that I have discovered this virus, my confidence is shaken a little. Please tell me how to fix this, or make sure that the next time someone dl's a file that they won't get a virus. |
