The rule of thumb, however, is that if the game's owners want you shut down, they will send a C&D first, and only bother with anything more unpleasant if you cannot be contacted or ignore the notice. Something to think of is that you will be recreating the game on a different engine - the only things of the original you will be using will be the text (obviously) and potentially also maps . If you can identify who is the game's current owner, you might try contacting them and asking whether they would object to such a project. Then you'll know in advance whether there is any risk involved. |

Obsidian Disc Is this download actually playable without the disc? I am having trouble.... Maybe to no one seen that the last post was in 2013 and the one before in 2009. I am trying to recreate this game in the Divinity Original Sin egine, does anyone know if I will get in trouble for copyright violations? Cheers! |

benefactr | I remember playing this game as a kid. If I'm thinking of the correct game if you put money it the bank it earned interest, and eventually you would have a boatload of money from the bank.

mattresses | Well, Sebatianos, you may not like being wrong, but I'm afraid you are again, Edu-Ware's 'Space' predates this game by nearly 10 years. (Sundog, Starflight, Alternate Reality and quite a few other science fiction CRPG's were released prior to 1987 as well..)

This is also one of my first games on the c64 i bought. I watch a friend play it forever as we figured things out. I then went out and bought my own, and have enjoyed it. sorry to say the 64 died a long time ago but I keep my important stuff, you never know when something will come in handy. I probably have a copy of all the dungeons somewhere. My son and I are now having fun playing it and making new ones. ******************************** but this may interest anyone who is going to download or has and did not own or save the obsidian code-disk. I still have one. If you need a copy please e-mail me and i will try and get you a copy. And yes its primative but a very excellent game. and it has aged well. still as good as I remembered it. |

The C64 version of the game is much better at least the graphics are a little better. They're still basic but at least everything isn't orange |
