Update! I have attempted to run VDMsound with Xcom, but still don't get any farther then Apoc's version and copyright information. I decided to see if it would work with no sound, and shut off the sound in X coms settings (which seems to work in plain ol XP, oddly). I tried running Xcom in XP, Doxbox, and VDM, and each time I got a black screen after the copyright, and still no game. Any suggestions? |

I have already tried increasing the cycles, but it does nothing. I'll give VDMsound a shot. Thank you for the help! |

Have you tried increasing the cycles? I suggest you use VDMSound anyway, it's much better for Apocalypse. |

Good evening gentlemen. I seem to be having a problem with DOS-BOX and running X-com Apocolypse. I mount the C drive and make it to the directory, as normal. But when I run the program, DOS box displays the copy-right information as normal then... stops. It does not continue on to the game, it just sits there with X-coms copyright information under all of my previous commands. I am currently using a 2 GHz AMD Athlon 2400, 768 MB of ram and a GeForce FX 5200 Can anyone help? |
