I don`t know whether I`m doing something wrong but. ....... Tried your suggestion of taking the read-only off the game files, but it is exactly the same situation as before- the game files themselves are not read-only, the folders aren`t and won`t change, yet still the same situtation exists, I try and save and no. On the other situation I have been mounting to the parent folder of the game folder c:\games before cd blade. I have since tried mounting to the sub-folder c:\games\blade and just using the execute file. ..... and still no difference. As I believe dosbox itself does not recommend mounting to C drive I`m not going to, I am sadly not technologically knowledgable enough to know the pros and cons of doing so, so couldn`t possibly take part in this discussion. Thanks for your help so far, Phoen. |

Alright, we all got the point. However, I need to point out that Troubleshooting is not meant to have a conversation, so we should either take it elsewhere or stop the conversation here. |

Scatty | I'm sure that's up to them to take the risk. The worst thing they'll get out of doing something stupid is learning something new. No need to watch after newbies like after children, it's more worthwhile to have own :bleh: | |

EoF... well, how about almost anything in C:\Windows ? My stay on Abandonia has taught me meny things, but above all... "Never underestimate the power of human stupidity" You never really know what a noob might do after reading your instructions. Even less, what might happen if they tried to combine it with some "ingenious" idea a friend of theirs mentioned in a completely different context altogether. Therefore, the less risk is taken, the better. |

Hummm... Well, deltree don't exist in DOSBox (gives me an illegal command) and newbies would never think about installing Windows 3.1 in DOSBox. This is really an advanced problem. If someone can screw his C:\ drive in DOSBox, maybe he should consider stopping playing with computers altogether. :P |
