Tom-Cat Hey all !

Glad you like the game. I am the programmer... so i can answer a few questions raised here.
Yes - the game plays ALMOST exactly as the original. Because the frame rate is higher (60 fps instead of 25) and the resolution is 4 times the original the jumping is a bit different - but not that much. It is about the same all in all. If we made it 25 fps and high-res it would be REALLY bad And just interpolating the jumps looked very bad too. So we had to make them both look good and work as close to the original as possible.

Also I decided to not put the door frames INTO the walls, since it livens up the rooms - they are not perfectly square now and so they look more "alive". This means that some of the puzzles are a little bit different (not much though) and some of the rooms aren't so tough as in the original. But overall it is about the same. It was just a little difference, but not everyone likes it. Sorry to all of those
Then there is the last guardian of the last crown - this time he can't be doughnouted, so that room is VERY tough ;-) It is one of the last rooms.

The game is all there though, the same as ZX, CPC, etc. versions (C64 and Amiga were a bit different though).

Best regards,
Tomaz

This was my favourite game every back in the day... Even now I think it would be in my top 5 games of all time. I have only just found out about this remake, and am so happy I may explode. So tempting to leave work right now to go home and play it... :brain:

Si You need heels in this room (actually appears in the previous room where the rabbit is hidden under the first isometic box - if you unite them and then jump on it they both gain lives. Don't tell me you alreay took it with heads...).

Anyway, use right ctrl to unite them - I completed this game, but that was around 1987 so when you get to 72% complete with three crowns or just happen to be in the egyptus empire and work out how to get heels up into the next room with the disintegrating block above the dagger box drop me a line...

Where's the difference?
They're small, but subtle. The most obvious is game saving (which was previously only handled with Reincarnation Fish, which acted as specific save points); but there are other minor things like the ability to stand on doorframes. While seemingly trivial, I remember exactly how much of a pain it was to get the leap into the Safari crown room exactly right.

I'm sure there are other minor things (Head's jump mechanism doesn't seem quite right, for instance) too.
