Well I tried everyone's suggestion..Thanks. I still am getting the error however, The timbre library I am running on windows 98 ..no sound isn't a problem |

Did you try to select all the files of the game and removing the read-only attribute from them? Just select them all, right-click on them and select properties. Below there 3 or 4 small boxes. |

I have windows 98 ..I usually don't have problems running dos mode games... btw: I got pizza tycoon to work.. It just wasn't picking up my mouse. Forgot to mention..now settlers isinstalled... it reads that it can't open timbre file...?? |

If you are using XP, there is no sound if you run DOS game directly. TO get the sound you need to install VDMSound or DOSBox (there are more other solutions, but try to stick to one or both of these There are a lot of topics around how to install and use them, but if you need more detailed instructions or have any questions, just ask here. :bye: |

I quit the only setting that install says is good is pc speaker..which is all I have I don't have midi..but it tells me it can't find midi..I quit |
