Now that we talk about this game ... How to finish it? I do not know, if I have the version posted here ... but still I'm kinda stuck. How to finish the game?! I've encountered some kind of boss; he keeps stamping on the ground and you have to jump when he stamps. I've managed to get past him, that is, get to the other side of the screen and run on - but after two or three screens there's a wall and I won't get past it. What to do? |

I think there was some mention of a program called "joy2key" a while back. Supposedly it translates gamepad buttons to simulated keypresses. Try that one. |

Ok, so I bought Mont Return cd-rom at the store just because Revenge was included on the disk too. I loaded it up and opened Mont Revenge. I can't get it to work with my gamepad, however. Only the keyboard works. I know the gamepad works and it's callibrated fine. Tested in it in Control Panel. (XP) Anyone have any ideas how I can get Montezuma's Revenge to work with my gamepad? Thanks !!! please let me know: [BEEEP]@yahoo.com |

As a matter of fact, when you download Montezuma's Return, you have a copy of Montezuma's Revenge, too. Start Revenge.exe and you have a DOS-Emulation of the ATARI game. This is, however, a different version and harder to beat. When I had an ATARI back then, I had both versions, beat the first one over and over again but never the other. You can see the difference in the level structure easily: 1st screen, take key, go right, go down. What do you see? Version I: Level symmetrically, stairs go down, fire left and right, have to get key and bottom right, no enemies. Version II: Lots of enemies, level structure very different. Your character looks slightly different, too. Just have a look at the hat! |
