You might want to check out the official DosBox FAQ, and particularly this part of it. It is quite helpful for users unfamiliar with DosBox. I suggest you alre read the pages about command line, internal programs (very important!) and the config file. If that stuff is a bit too much for you, you might consider using one of the multiple frontend programs available. It's all easier then it seems. So remember: DON'T PANIC!!! |

Ok, you need to mount the drive in Dosbox. Let's say that you've extracted simfarm to this location "D:\oldgames\simfarm" Open dosbox and type the following - mount d d:\oldgames\simfarm (hit enter/return) then type - d: (hit enter/return) Now type - dir (hit enter/return) This will show you the contents of the simfarm folder. Look for the exe. file (it's probably called something like "simfarm" "farm" or "sim," this is the executable file which will start the program. Let's just say that the exe. file is "farm." Type - farm (hit enter/return) The program should start running now. I hope that helps you |
