_r.u.s.s. | well i dont think that buyng a new soundcard will change anything. in dos (or emulated dos) you need to run setup exe and keep trying different soundcards. but adlib for music works always

_r.u.s.s. | this problem happened to me on win98 as well, some games ran very choppy when running with sound. all i needed to do is to boot in MS DOS, like i said before. did you try that?

Perhaps there is some sort of hardware conflict? Or the game just can't handle that soundcard because of some problem with backwards compatibility? If I were you, I'd try an older soundcard... think Sound Blaster 16 or Pro / Pro 2 (or a compatible). |

It´s 486/100 with 32 MB. I played BT on exactly same computer without any problems, only soundcard was different. Strange. P II with 128 MB and SB AWE 64 should handle it, same problem. I´ll try different soundcards, must find some old ones. In junkyard |

Yes, but the general classification of 486 includes a number of different CPU speeds. I think his CPU just can't handle the game and its' sound effects at the same time. |
