_r.u.s.s. | run the game via commandline (start->run->cmd.exe) and tell us what is the error message you get when the game shuts down (if you wont figure out after error message for yourself)

If I quite the game while playing, then click on the patched icon again, the game will not run, it goes to the MSDOS box, then the screen goes blank and it returns to the desktop. The same thing happens if I reboot/shutdown the computer without installing the registry files beforehand, then attempt to access the game when the computer starts up.. If I install the registry files then restart the computer I can play the game, although it usually only loads up on the second or third attempt. |

_r.u.s.s. | first of all, you do NOT need to restart your computer after changing registry values. then, you said it works, so now the only problem is that you rebooted your pc each time? what happens after you run the game after its shut down once without rebooting?

![]() If you don't have that icon, you either don't have the version of this site or something is wrong with the file you downloaded. I have no idea why the change would not stick from session to session. Do you have the administrator priviledge on your current account? |

This may seem stupid but when you say band aid icon do you mean an icon shaped like a band aid? There isn't an icon like that in the folder. Maybe I have installed the patch incorrectly? These are the three icons that I have that seem to run the game: 1)GameGRAFX- asks for the CD straight away 2)Transport Tycoon Deluxe- this is the one that works, but I have to install the registry and restart each time. 3)Another one that takes me to a sub menu with the game logo, then when I click 'run game' it asks for the CD. Hope this gives you some idea, if not then I'm not too fussed with restarting each time as long as it doesn't affect my PC. Thanks |

Hummm... I don't know. But something is sure: it's not supposed to act this way. Are you sure you're using the band-aid icon? |

Eagle of Fire | You'll need to reboot for the registery change to take effect. Also, you need to use the "patched" (as in band-aid) icon.

Hi, can someone help me please I've downloaded Transport Tycoon Deluxe onto my newish Windows XP PC, imported the RunMe files into the registry and made sure the win2k switch is set to 1. When I start the game there is a small DOS window telling me not to use the reduced save switch, and when I click to carry on the screen goes black and then comes back to the desktop as if nothing happened. I also tried the original and managed to get into the game before the same thing happened. If anyone has any suggestions can they post them please? Thanks |
