Eagle of Fire Mount c c:\oldgames
c:
cd settlers
s2.exe

If you need to setup the sound, then type setup.exe before s2.exe.

I'm not completely sure why you're asking this though, since you already almost did it all by yourself...

Edit: Oh, and the reason why Vista is not allowing you to edit the file is either because of some dumb setting in Vista you'll need to change yourself, or because the files got flagged as read only from the archive. If it's the read only problem, you'll need to go into the property of every files and click on the box next to "read only" option. I'm not entirely sure it's the same for Vista, but if it's consistant with old versions (which is not garanteed...) it should work like I described.

Settlers 2 please help

hey all i have downloaded settlers 2, for my sister as a gift(used to be her fav game when she was a kid) for xmas. anyways i have read the DOSBox tutorial and get stuck at the dosbox.conf point. the computer (running vista) will not let me change the file. so could someone tell me what do put into normal dosbox to make it work? i.e.
mount c c:\oldgames
c:
Dir
...etc

would be much appreciated.

(settlers folders location: c:\oldgames\settlers\ )
thanks again
