Somemame roms not working

Splatterhouse, Street Fighter III 3rd Strike, R-Type, Afterburner 2, Altered Beast....yes. Some roms are just not working on Mame. Always complain that some files are missing. I know that Neo Geo games require a BIOS files, but what about others? Or am I just having bad luck on finding good roms.

And before you ask, yes, I did tried every possible version of the game.
