Err, no: you say "The game presents a VGA option to play with". That's NOT an option, it's the way this game is, hence the name Joust VGA. This remake has nothing to do with "Atari's 1983 attempt which is actually pretty solid"... So, what I'm saying is: you uploaded Joust VGA, reviewed it as if it was the 1983 original PC port then complained about it's lousy controls (which are true for the remake Joust VGA, but not for the 1983 Atari solid port called Joust). See the confusion you're creating? |

Sorry simpletons, but the game presents a VGA option to play with. The only information provided about the year of the game was given to me via what was in the Important Announcements section. Go trumble your misplaced elitism over there. |

DonCorleone | Well, but the VGA version of the game comes much closer to the Mame-version which I really enjoyedm playing... still have it installed with an emulator...

You're right. They've adjusted the year now, and here are the data for producer/publisher: Dave & Ron Sharpless Joust VGA is a fanmade remake. So, basically every reference to Williams Electronics and Atari should be edited out of the review. The 1983 PC Port (by Atari) was a Booter and actually better in my eyes than this VGA remake... |

Joust VGA Released 1990 I think the game data section is wrong. |

red_avatar | Haha I had to laugh at the review for that - VGA wasn't used until 1989 or so and he thinks a 1983 already had those kind of graphics ? :P

Too bad this is the VGA remake and not the original Atari port... Blood-Piggy, your review set me off: you talk about the solid Atari port yet the screens are from the remake: Joust VGA. Then you complain about controls: again Joust VGA. The actual 1983 Atari port has configurable keys! |
