Addison Okay, I think that my version was semi installed when packaged together.

The only thing available for immediate play is the "SBA Side-View".

There's 7 other game variations that just don't work.

There is a file called OMNI.EXE but I think that install file is corrupt since it just hangs, looks at me funny, then goes into tetanus.

See, I don't quite understand the defining line between what's considered Abandoned, what is freely released by the company to the public, and that which can still be financially acquired even though it's over 15 years old.

Whatever it takes, I'm just looking for a solution on this.

I've got Dosbox running on a little handheld and this is the best thing to watch/play during a painfully boring lecture in Physiology when I'm trying to imagine a life that doesn't so closely resemble hell.

Thanks for the feedback, hope I can get just a little more though.

Cheers guys!

Eagle of Fire Does your version actually need installation? Most games from Abandonware sites come already installed in the archive. There is usually always an install file with old DOS programs, but those are usually only used for game configuration or don't work at all when you try to use them to reinstall the game...

Addison Hey, thanks for the response Dosraider.

Yeah, I've tried several dosbox.conf variations, including the one you gave me, but it's not helping.

I'm totally digging on this game, this is almost like the Tecmo football of basketball, but would much rather play the College league as opposed to the Professional one.

Any chance you could try yourself to see if you could get "Omni-Play Basketball" installed and working for the college league?

Thanks again chief!

dosraider Hmmmm, try this:
mount c c:\dos\
mount a c:\dos\mj\Sideview t -floppy
mount b c:\dos\mj\SBA t -floppy
a:
play

Let it install on c: if asked for. (will be on your real c:\dos\ in windows).

That or look if there isn't a crack file, a whatever *.bat file ..... (DIR /W is a handy command for that).

Or ask where you downloaded it? They should know how to get their games working.

Omni-Play Basketball

Greetings everyone.

So yeah, I'm trying to install the "college side view" for Omni-Play Basketball, also known as Magic Johnson's MVP.

It was available somewhere else.

Anyway, here's my Dosbox executable:

mount c c:\dos\mj
mount a c:\dos\mj\Sideview t -floppy
mount b c:\dos\mj\SBA t -floppy
c:
play

I don't think that's right since when it asks "Do you want to install college league on your hard disk? Select yes or no"

It then says "Insert college league disk in any drive select continue or cancel"

When I hit continue, it just stays on that screen.

Any help on this would totally make my week.

Thanks.
