Alas .... what's true for you isn't obligatory true for another. It can be running perfectly for you on XP on your PC, but the same game can be totally screwed up on an other PC. Other graphics driver... a monitor that can't display lower graphical res correctly, whatever and whoopsy, screwed. Of course it can't hurt to try it first directly, if you don't try you don't know. |

I don't know about the DOS version of KQ7, but I've gotten the KQ7 windows version to play just fine (both legal and uh, not quite so) on Win XP. There are a whole heap of patches available. As always, google is your friend |

In fact it doesn't really matter what version he has, I have both, and the Win version also gives a lot of trouble running directly on modern PCs. Most modern monitors can't handle the lower res game screen. Solution for the Win version is also dosbox, but then with W3.1 running in it. ![]() ![]() Or VPC with W3.1 ............... |

Did you mount the cd drive correctly as D: in dosbox? Did you mount a virtual C correctly? Did you installed the game IN DOSBOX from D: on C: ? Did you know that's about all the help you can get if you don't give more details? Did you know that a " it doesn't work" doesn't work here? |

Try the windows 95 or windows 98 compatibility, the chances are it'll work then... If you wonder how to get to the compatibility mode, right click on the executable (probably kq7.exe), properties, compatibility (tab)... |

Eagle of Fire | In that case it mean that it's not a DOS game at all, so DOSBox and VSMSound are completely useless to you. You should use The Fifth Horseman suggestions above instead. | ||
