Already answered in response to your post in the UFO topic UFO: Enemy Unknown is sold on STEAM. In accordance with our site policy, we have removed the download and will not help anyone in finding an illegal copy. It's explained in the site FAQ and the forum rules. |

Regardless, it is frustrating when there are good games that still have a protected status, and especially so when they have to be taken off after they were available for download. Unfortunately, it is against the site policy to host any games that are protected or sold new, and so games that are reviewed here that are still sold have to have the downloads removed. And, as I believe The_Fifth_Horseman said somewhere else, this site is more about documenting games rather than being able to download them. I also wouldn't recommend asking for a torrent to a commercial game within earshot of Fifth, he doesn't take that kind of thing lightly. |

If you're talking about the "No Go" or "ESA Protected" links, that's because the games are not currently abandonware. This doesn't mean weren't at one point, or will be sometime in the future. Just that they aren't now. Anyway, I think that's right. If not, someone else will correct me, and/or elaborate. |

Inactive links to games Hey First of all I just want to say that this is a great website. However I find it extremely and seriously frustrating that for some games (e.g UFO: Enemy Unknown) for some reason you advertise it yet however have inactive or blocked links to stop people from downloading it. Whats the deal! Secondly, does anyone have a link or a torrent to get UFO Enemy Unknown, a version that is compatible with WindowsXP? Cheers |
