I played these games a couple of weeks ago, after just hearing about them. Each of the 3 took me about 7-8 hours of play to complete. Only after some stumpage did I refer to the walkthroughs. While these games aren't as good as King's Quest or Space Quest, I think that what the *single* author managed to accomplish was astounding. It's obvious he put thought into the story. Though the graphics aren't the greatest, it is very apparent he spent time working on them. The games were very playable, and enjoyable, and packed full of "interestingness". Perhaps enough for a 2nd go round sometime in the future. Definitely worth the addition to my collection. |

OriolesRule | I remember once trying to finish Hugo's House of Horrors I bought by itself on one or two 5 1/4" floppies! I took a pumpkin, oil can, & shovel but couldn't figure out anything to do next. I must have walked through the house 20 times over 3 hours but could only operate the dumbwaiter. My want-to-be hero died about 15 times. |

tormentor | The Hugo Series are great. I remember it took me almost a year to figure out that stupid riddle in the first adventure "Whats the name of the only mammal that can fly but can't fly" Very frustrating!!! |

I rmember when I was 6 passing the days with this game. Oh did my parents hate the sounds. Takes forever to beat. There is a disk called 350 that has all three of these and other classics like Elfland and 3pt basketball. Thanks |

Horoma | A few years ago, I saw the Hugo-trilogy in a shop. I had played many of the Sierra adventures as a kid, so I thought "what the heck, I'll buy this". But to be honnest, I started all three of them, got bored quite quickly, and now they're gathering dust. Definitely not as good as I had expected. |
