steelin | That's the tricky part, because I can't find any working (or maybe I don't know how to install them properly). |

The Fifth Horseman | He'd have to have DOS drivers for his soundcard installed first. |

Try to run dosgames in XP with VDMSound. VDMSound adds soundblaster and adlib support on NT ones. ....Or try dosbox, but if your E500 notebook will have enough juice is kinda doubtful, maybe for the lesser demanding games in dosbox? Trial and error will be your destiny ..... You can find a link to VDMSound@ http://www.abandonia.com/en/node/23027 Note: VDMSound won't work in W98. |

Sound on Armada E500 notebook. I have Compaq Armada E500 notebook with Windows 98 installed on it (simultaneously with XP). I can't get sound working in Dos games. Pity because they all run great, smooth and tasty. Notebook is equiped with ESS Maestro soundcard. Any ideas how to fix it? |
