Saccade Nice - just the operating instructions for newbs would be good.
not the whole post..!

It's not often that we get someone else to come along and play, but their input is usually helpful.

Yes...but I would like to keep the surprise
Let's do in this way, I'll create a non-Tourny version with all tech parts ok?

Saccade Will do, Dave.

That'd be good for when people play it and none of the beta-testers are around.

That part of it is nearly ready - it is a good tutorial.
Don't know how much of it can be bypassed by giving people special, temp dosbox.configs or whatever.
(we forgot loads of the procedure the first time we tried, the other day... )

Have to wait to see how many problems are caused by end-users not following the instructions. Hopefully, not many

Dave Want to send him the beta tutorial we prepared?
(Soon or late we will go ahead btw, I need spare time )

Saccade I had to set up a Firewall exception for Dosbox on my laptop, so I'm guessing that there could also be the need to make some router changes as well, if needed.

But then, surely all the traffic is going over Hamachi, which is already okay..?
Dosbox wiki doesn't mention it:
http://www.dosbox.com/wiki/Connectivity

We should hook up and try this again some time this week, matey.
I'm going to be around most nights, except when I'm training. Actually, I don't have a job, so I'll be around nearly all the time...

Sorry should have mentioned that as well. The server was started though and the correct amount of players set.

@Saccade I've been able to play quite a few games over hamachi before and the ports for that are all set.

Would dosbox also need port forwarding past the router if I'm running it through hamachi anyway?

Saccade Since all the config for the game, dosbox and hamachi was right, and you disabled your firewall - maybe make an exception, or set up a port profile, depending on whether you've got a piece-a-shit router like me or a good one.

You know how to do that?
I'll see if I can find the ports and stuff that Dosbox (if it is that) and Hamachi use.

Can you play other games over Hamachi okay?
