g33k0ry | Well I've managed to acquire a working copy of Deus. It seems to be working so far at least. |

g33k0ry | I assume then, that asking where I can download it for free isn't allowed on this forum. |

g33k0ry | Yes, I mean Deus. I sadly only have the Windows version. I tried getting a new DLL, but that didn't fix it. I think that the call was removed from windows as it was superseded or something, which is really out of character for Microsoft, since M$ is famous for not doing so. If someone could find me a DOS version of it, that would be great. |

Luchsen | It had only one CD, I believe to remember. |

_r.u.s.s. | isn't it completely different cd..? or are the dos and windows version on the same cd? |

Luchsen | It's for Windows and DOS, so there should be an executable which is executable in DOSBox. |

you mean this game, right? not deus ex at first i'd try backing up and replacing your old kernel32 on xp machine (which should be located at c:\windows\system32) by some other one, for example here also, try un-checking compatibility mode before trying btw, there's also a dos version of the game |
