Screen Thief works, thanks. Quote:
Dunno if it's because of the games, WinXP or VDMSound, but none of the games I've tried can run in windowed mode. |

Irfanview -> options-> capture -> foreground window 'client area' If it fails on your PC another solution is to run them dosgames that won't run in dosbox in VPC/MsDos 6 Or run a dos TSR screengrabber. |

Japo | As far as I know, VDMSound has little to do with graphics, taking screenshots from a game run with it is taking them from Windows, and that can be tricky in a few cases. PrnScr should copy the current image into the Windows clipboard, so you can paste it in MS Paint or anything; but that doesn't always work for various reasons, as seems to be your case since you can expect the same result as with Irfanview or other image capture software; but do try anyway.

derboo | Elaborate, perhaps? Irfanview's standard screenshot capture function is not capable of taking screenshots from VDMSound. All it produces are black images.

VDMSound and Screenshots? Is it possible at all? I have a few games that neither run in DOSbox nor the "normal" XP console that I'd like to take screenshots of. |
