Lester Piggot Press F1 to save the game and then overwrite one of the pre-saved ones.

It won't save automatically. Thankfully I managed to find and download the manual to tell me how to save a game.

the clue

I downloaded The Clue! from this page http://www.abandonia.com/games/429
And it seems to contain 4 saves far into the game already.
I think there is a max 4 saves also...

When I start a new game and exit, I cant find my new game only the 4 old saves that are not mine.

How do I solve this? Can someone upload a proper clean version without old saves inside it?

Wicky You're welcome. Since I happen to have some self-made tables about The Clou, you can have them as well:

Buildings

Switched from IMG to URL tags because of the picture's large dimensions and the post-length. ~Luchsen

Gebäude = Building
Wache = Guards
Geräuschpegel = Noise level
Einsatzzeit = Police Reaction time
Fluchtweg = Escape path in kilometers
Typ = Escape Type: Innenstatt/inner city, Landstraße/rural, Autobahn/highway, Stadt/Town

TOOLS

Switched from IMG to URL tags because of the picture's large dimensions and the post-length. ~Luchsen

Werkzeug = tool
Unfall = Chance for failure
Laut = noise level
Wissen = knowledge required
(erfordert) = requires an item

COMPLICES

Switched from IMG to URL tags because of the picture's large dimensions and the post-length. ~Luchsen

Loy Bek Hab Akten =
Loyality, Popularity, Greed, Police Data acquired

Aufpassen = Watchout
Autos = Car driving skill
Elektro = electronics (what else?)
Kampf = combat
Safes = what the name says
Schlösser = lockpick
Spreng = explosives

This reminds me, I have played through this game 4 times, once on 386, then on 486, then on Pentium and then on Dosbox, some time ago.
The music is still un-matched by all means.

Non20220 Thank you Wicky, for the much needed piece of advice!

Wicky Sneak upon them from behind. The best time to do so is then they make a short break in their patrol route. You'll need to have a higher melee skill than the guards (check "guard level" in the observation summary of the building)

Coloseee I have to ask, is there any way to get past guards while staging your robbery? Even with chloroform and an accomplice who has a good "melee" skill, the guards always seem to spot me before I can knock them out.

arete According to an earlier post, it'll end up in your hotel room anyway.

Try www.gamefaqs.com maybe.

need help

Hi! I got stuck during the Villa mission, I can't figure out a way to steal the suitcase without being caught by the guards somewhere along the way. Can anyone help me?

Thanks.

mexbrush The midis are also great, one of my favourite is the midi in the hotel room.

Great piece of art, it will be even better if they did the sequel by adjusting it a little and may be putting some car action afterwards

Engelados This game loses in details. It was quite cool that I broke into the british museum and stole the magna carta & rosetta's stone . Too bad the game doesn't reward you for the hard work you need to do to succeed in breaking into important buildings. It seems like all you need to do is break into kiosk + seven random buildings without getting caught. The bank of England or Aunt Emma's makes no difference. Whether you pick up everything there is to be picked up or just break in and escape immediately also makes no difference.

I actually stole the crown jewels without the police finding out, but again no reward from the game except that jewelery worth 850000 pounds appeared in my houl list. I guess you have to use your imagination & assume that you took the jewels to France.

The barracks break-in is also quite frustrating. If you try to figure it out on your own, you end up with 3 accomplices who are forever waiting and you have no clue what they are waiting for. Addison's brief is incomplete and ambiguous & in the planning phase you have no way to tell whose message people are waiting for. I used the spoiler, which is something I hate, but I equally hate games that leave you clueless as to why things are happening or not happening .

Overall good game, could have been really great with some little care here and there.
