Peaces5 Quest for Glory 3 - Wages of War remains a standout in the classic adventure-RPG genre. The African-inspired setting, strong storyline, and blend of puzzles with real-time combat make it unique even today. The transition to a more visual point-and-click interface is a welcome improvement from the earlier text-based commands.

Tips & Tricks:

Visit the Simbani village often; decisions there shape your ending.

Use the “Practice” option to boost combat skills daily.

Don’t overlook magical training, even if you're not a Wizard class.

Save before key dialogues—they can impact alliances.

Interestingly, I’ve been replaying the game on a retro handheld while tracking my play sessions using my smart watch ultra—a fun mix of old-school gaming and modern tech! Anyone else blending classic games with today’s gadgets?

No survivor of the peace mission in the inn

Hello everyone! Guys, I need your help.
According to the walkthrough, there should be a moment in the game when the survivor of the peace mission to the Leopardmen will visit the inn. Whatever I do, he doesn't show up. Are there any actions that trigger this?
Thanks beforehand.

Mystvan I’ve never played this game, but it is on my list of favorites.

One very funny thing I remember is that my brother was able to use the Game Wizard for this game. But... the Lioness (I do not remember her name) noticed that the character had become very powerful...

And another thing, the character was beginning to lose energy (HP?) mysteriously. The solution? To sleep! So if the character did not rest, he ran the risk of dying. As soon as the game started, the character woke up with his left foot. Maybe it is a punishment of the game for those who try to use cheats...

darkmage0707077 First I'm going to answer, then I'm going to ask.

First, my answer, to the guy who had problems getting into the Laibon's hut with the horn:

Drop the horn, leave the screen with the huts and come back, then you can enter. Do so, talk to the Laibon until he kicks you out, then reenter, greet him, ask him everything (should be 2 options and no Goodbye option) then simply walk out of the hut. Now go kill another dino and get its horn, go back to the village and you should be able to get in now. I know the guy's not here anymore after 4 YEARS, and he's already left anyway, but I finally know, so I decided to share.

Now for my question:

So after winning the initiation, I've gotten the drum, but when I try to go back into the Laibon's hut to give him the bride price, I'm denied entry. Doesn't matter how long I wait, or seemingly what I drop, I'm not allowed entry. So what do I do? I'm using DosBox .74, 13K cycles (tried turning them down to 3K, no dice), and I have 282 points (for some reason, didn't get the expected 10 for winning or 3 for talking about the initiation with Uhura after). Any help would be appreciated!

Capo The spell grinding is just a waste of time.

DarthHelmet86 The extra grinding of the spells is one thing I don't look forward too, but playing a Wizard all the way though should be fun.

Panthro My last run through Qfg1-4, I did a wizard run (my fave class). Maxed out every spell in QFG1, and it makes things SO much easier later on. If you grind a bit in QFG2 as well, it makes 3&4 pretty easy.

I never bothered trying this before, because most quest-based uses of magic need less than 100 skill. The extra skill does make a lot of difference when playing Erasmus and Aziza at their magic games too.

DarthHelmet86 Clever game...clever nice way to trick people. I should try a Wizard run of the game. By this point I am normally a Paladin.

Wicky Thanks. It was a typo after all. The game made me believe I have all the Zebra skins, because it says plural "skins" even if you actually have only one single "skin".
