Flop | You do need to install it to the hard drive. Did you mount the image as a cd drive or just a regular drive? For instructions on how to mount a cd drive check this topic. |

I can run install and have no problem with setting up sound. The sound tests all run smoothly. But it will not run xwingcd. I thought that I might have to install it, but when I run install.exe and try to install to the hard drive from there it says that I need to run the install from the CD drive. "X-Wing CD install must be run from the CD-ROM Drive..." If I run xwingcd a window will flash for less than a second and then nothing. |

Flop | Config? There's no file called config in xwing. If you want to set up the sound use install.exe, found in the game directory, then type xwingcd to run the game. |

I have daemon tools and DOSBox, but I am having trouble running the game. I can mount it with daemon tools, but I can't launch anything with DOSBox. Can someone give me instructions? When I try to run config it says C:\XWING\config Config tool: Use -writeconf filename to write the current config. Use -writelang filename to write the current language strings. And then I can't do anything else. Typing bwing doesnt work either. I loved this old game and I can't wait to see it again. Can someone please help? AIM screenname: midnrao |
