Adventure with Strategy a close second
|
Strategy, I'm still playing StarCraft after 4 years, and Alpha Centauri, if I didn't lose the disc. Second would be RPG. But my favorites are mainly on the consoles, and I have a nasty habit of taking a long, long break from the game right near the end or in the beginning, before the story picks up. |
I don't like the adventure/RPG style that you have to do certain things in order to achieve your goal, just as in real life... I don't like the feeling of having a traced destiny right at start. Not to mention it's overly boring to repeat it all over after you finish it.
So it's strategy for me... I fancy online RPG's as well. |
Finished Still Life. It was a good game, a little short though. I don't like how Microids' games tend to be less "interactive" than older adventure games. It's mostly nice settings, but youcan't examine the objects in your inventory or take a closer look at that tree (getting a verbal description from the main character). Syberia suffers from the same thing as does Post Mortem. :not_ok:

I choose adventure games. Monkeyislands and indiana jones series are really great. I have heard that Gabriel Knight is a great adventure game. Is it good?
|
I voted for Adventure.
I love all the Quest games - King's Quest, Space Quest etc. The Monkey Island games are just classic's. :max: |
I Vote for RPG is the leader, the adventure follows, and strategy eats dust :bleh:
