I am pulling my hair out over this.

Okay I have downloaded and installed Arena to my HD (c:)

I open Dosbox and type


Mount c c:\Arena

c:

install

set sound to the right settings

Arena

and I get....

Black Screen...DosBox hangs up

I have increased the cycles..no dice

I have done the setup with no sound...no dice

I have searched the forums....no dice


I have also read the pdf deal that people have posted and the settings for soundblaster are fine.

I can run it with VDMS but the mouse wont work at some critical points...

Anyone have any ideas?

I am having the same problem, I have gotten other games to work so I know its not because I'm a retard, and I have also consulted the pdf and increased the speed

I was 19 and in the navy and I played this game out at sea... it brings back such good memories, PLEASE HELP!

when I try to "install" it it just says "can only install from disk"

nothing works!

well looking at the soud setting in the PDF i've changed the hdma= to nothing, but I cannot figure out how to make T6 (the default) T4 (what the PDF wants)

and I seem to be locking up at the char creation

I need help finding some of the ebony items in the game i still need the ebony pouldren ®, ebony gauntlets, ebony greaves, ebony boots, and the ebony kite. thanks :help:

I Loved this game! :) never beat it due to the fact that my game got messed up so i didnt wish to do all that work again. (i was level 17) :) So now i got a Demo of DAGGERFALL! Awesome. I want to get the full version now. its waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than arena. joining guilds, riding horses, taking everything at 12:00 at night from the stores and storing it in cart till i have 12k weight than selling it for several hundred k worth of stuff. its awesome. Abandonia, Get Daggerfall on here for free download! we will love you for it.

Nope, Sorry. Daggerfall isn't gonna be on here anytime soon. :whistle: It's been discussed WAY too many times for me to say it again.
