You can save the game in temples and, I think, camps. Been a long while

Thanks 5th but what i was trying to say was that i save the game but i look under load its not there. Basically is does save but then it doesn't. i lost about 20 hrs of game play just to save shut it down
and then the next day i try to load the game and its not anywhere to be found.

Something about game.nam not found. I think!

Check if the directory isn't write-protected.

Ok! Listen up if you have ran into the point in which your game can't save because of an game.nam problem which you will know when you first open blade.

Here is the Solution to the problem:

Open blade fold
Find Game.nam file somewhere in the folder
right click Game.nam
left click properties
then look at the bottom and uncheck the read only
then click apply if you have the botton
and BAM!

Your set to save and load your game!!! :kosta:

Hi all.

I've read so many praises about the Realms of Arkania series and decided to give it a try since I don't mind huge columns of numbers (to the contrary, the more the better). I've completed my study of the manuel today but I'm still puzzled about the spells. The manuel doesn't really tell me what they do exactly, how they scale, numbers etc. So, do I have to aquire an old DSA handbook for indepth information or are their resources on the internet I might consult ?

With best regards,
Erunno

I forgot to log in and didn't realize that anonymous posting is activated. Sorry for that.

EDIT:

I had to aquire Blade of Destiny from another source because the game reports that a file is missing at the beginning. It seems to be the introduction movie after I compared it to the version which can be downloaded at Abondonia.

Cheers!

Hi,

I got the same problem, that my characters dont get to level 2 no matter how much I fight... (2200 Points)
What could this be?

IIRC, the level advancement occurs a) after you acquire neccesary XP and b) when you confirm that in the character screen.
Don't remember the details, it's been a while.

Ok. Thanks so far.

But shouldnt I get to level 2 with 2200 XP? Isnt that a bug?

Enter the character screen and check around there. I remember clearly that there is no auto-leveling in this game.

Also, look it up in the manual.

Level 2: 5000 XP
Level 3: 15000 XP
Level 4: 30000 XP
Level 5: 50000 XP
and so on...

If I remember right, in a normal game you will end up having your characters at only about level 3 or 4 in the end.
