Hi everyone,

After setting mpu401=uart in Dosbox 0.74, and after trying to start a mission, the screen with the rocket blasting off before starting a mission has an error message on it. It says "Put Simulator disk into drive c: If you are using: 5 1/4" use disk 3 3 1/2" use disk 2." I can't get past this screen or message in the game. Does anyone know what I should do? Thanks for your help!

Your mounts and the directory structure they contain, please.
Did you download the game from here?
How are you running it in DOSBox? Normally, tailored config, drag-and-drop, a frontend... ?

Are you referring to how I've unzipped the file? I had a directory called "mw" under the "program files (x86)" directory where I put everything from the zipped file.

Yes I did.

IIRC, there are 2 required changes to Dosbox.conf: I set mpu401=uart and aspect=true. As far as running it, I start Dosbox, mount the mw directory as my c: drive, execute mw.exe, and start the game.

Thanks again for any insights that you may have!

Wrong, never put user files in progfiles.
Read and apply:

Move that mw folder to your \oldgames\ folder, run dosbox and input:

cd mw
mw

That seems to have worked. Thank you!

Doesn't load missions?

Ever since i got 4 mechs it doesn't do the mission part of the game. I take a contract, blast off, but i instantly win every mission. Although it is fun to be rich i don't get to fight anymore. Why would this be happening?

Possible if you are only taking garrison contracts. Garrison missions can end with no combat at all.

Problem with Crew screen

Hi, I'm sorry to bother with this. I read all the thread but I can't find a solution to the crew screen.

I downloaded the game from here, and three different versions from HOTUD and all have the same problem.

I read another user got a version without the protection copy cracked, and he has to insert the codes, but the problem was solved. All versions I have are the cracked ones.

:lame:

Never played a MechWarrior game. I want start from this one. I find it deeper than the other ones I saw, because they have only the action gameplay.
