btw..if they are from sets it doesn't really mean they are any good :bleh: [/b]
Yes, I know. Some sets are quite useless.
Now I have the Arcic Fur, the Arctic Binding and Cleglaws Claw. Fur and Binding are not bad; the armor and the belt have a high defense (when compared to the normal or blue armor available at the beginning). Cleglaws Claw (a shield) is pretty useless if you play an melee-assassin.

Unfortunatly I can only play on single player...
It's a long and sad story..my FRIEND stolen me my original cd's...and if I play in internet with an illegal copy...I think Blizzard will close my original cd key...right? :tai:

Did you know the great power of rare jewels?...I'm making a reasearch on them...and I discoverd that right combinations are powerful than runes or gems...specially on Griswold set...it has 12 socket!!!

Question:
Why doesn't Diablo let me play ober battle.net?
I have a legit copy (bought it today). I thought I would play a few games over the net.
What gives?

Himmler 02-06-2006 06:48 PM

what error do you get?
are you playing with the cd's in the computer? do you have LoD also or just d2? more info please :D

troop18546 02-06-2006 06:52 PM

I have Diablo 1. I thought I'd just ask here rather that create another topic.
It says: "couldn't connect to battle.net" and says to go to support. I'm stumped - help. :wallbash:

Hamster of Doom 02-06-2006 11:33 PM

Hm...could there be a conflict with your firewall? Maybe your firewall doesn´t allow the game to connect.

Is the auto-patcher of Diablo working or is there no connection at all?

troop18546 03-06-2006 11:12 AM

I have Diablo patched up to 1.09 and it doesn't let me connect to battle.net
My firewall is turned off at all times.

Hamster of Doom 03-06-2006 02:10 PM

Have you already tried to uninstall and then re-install the game? Maybe some files are damaged.
Or the patch is the bad guy. It´s strange, that the game could connect to load the patch but after that there´s no connection to the battle.net.

I would re-install it and see what happens.

I re-installed it and now the game won't recognize my original cd.
The last time I patched it up manually to 1.09, but now my cd isn't recognized and I can't play from cd.
I don't know what the hell has happened, I only have Diablo for 1 day and it's all messed up now.
Yesterday I could play it right from cd, but now I am resorted to use a crack.
BTW, my game seems to crash all the time and I don't know what's going on. The screen flickers when I look in inventory and then a blue screen appears saying all kinds of different muck everytime, which isn't really the problem. Help please.

EDIT: Whoops, got it working again (the cd). No problem about that, but the game still doesn't allow me to connect to battle.net and says I have to connect manually or smth, that my system isn't configured for that <something>. I hate this. :wallbash:

P.S. Does anyone know where Diablo stores it's cd key files in the registry? Cause my copy is missing the cd key again and I thought I would retrieve it from there.
