Oranges are definitely the easiest crop, pick a map with high wind, high rain, high heat. Then just plant oranges, you store them for a year till just before harvest, that is when the highest price for them is. what makes them so easy also is that after they are a few years old, you won't have any problem what so ever with weeds/pests/fertilization. That negates the need for a crop duster plane (which can be flown, just don't forget to fill it with gas) :P

-the high winds allow you to use windmills everywhere and since the oranges grow on trees, I think you don't need wind breaks (its been a while since I played)

Use windmills, they pump water from wells, also remember that irrigation ditches double as drainage ditches when they don't have water in them. that allows flooded fields to dry out faster.

I think they need to come out with a newer version of this game. I love it but it does get old with all the newer games out there.

Can anyone help me configure my sound on the dosbox? It sounds really crappy when I play the sim farm game. It sounds nothing like the original and I know there is a way to change the sound. Do I have to disable my external speakers and if so, how do i do it. Also, do I need to change the sound blaster settings? How do I make it work good and how to I change settings back when I need to? I have a newer version of this game, for windows, along with a windows-help-browser manual.
I could type the manual so it's just a text file, but the last few manuals I've made (including 2 I wrote from scratch) are just sitting on FTP. Would be easier to just upload the interactive manual, instead. And have the windows version to download as an option, maybe?

I'm prepping all the Simxxx stuff now, with either .pdf / win help / win-txt conversions or all the Sim games (that are called Abandonware) for upload to the site right now.
The boxshots may be a but muddy, cos they're old, but someoine can find better ones of those, I'm sure.
