Strategy games all the way (even if most RTS are just rushes) :D
Adventure would come a close second. |

*edit* By the way, about that last statement. My life doesn't revolve around adventure games. It doesn't revolve around playing games at all. It's a part time hobby, nothing else. It makes me wonder, does YOUR life revolve around playing action games? |
hmmmmmmmmmmm let me see im more of a real time war game freak then any thing els but i also do enjoy good rpgs like d&d now and then . i would like to see a softwear company do a cross between real time war games and rpg ... kida like C&C meets D&D. u could choose wich view u wanted and u could walk round the base u have set up and even get shot at by the enemy .... hell if u wanted u could even lead the attack by stepin into oh say a mammoth tank or a stealth tank or even fly an orca or an apchie or a10warthog ... now i think that would be pretty fresh ....

A mix between RPG and strategy could be nice, but I guess it would also be quite difficult to get a good balance of those genres. Would it be something like Giants: Citizen Kabuto but with more character development and less focusing in action, or like Blood&Magic with the possibility of teking part in the action as a FPS? Well, sure there is a way, but I can't think of it.
Anyway, my vote goes to RPGs, as it is the genre I am currently playing, even having in mind that I started with Adventure. |
