It HAD a sequel. Fade to Black is the name.

Have a look on Mobygames.
1995 for PC, 1996 for PS1. You can easily call it precursor to Tomb Raider.

Cool, now that you mention it the name rings a bell. However, it doesn't seem to start where Flashback ended. Then you were stranded in space, so the sequel's plot should have been something like Space Quest's (with action of course). Instead, Fade to Black promptly takes you from your space drift into an alien prison, thus but cheekily carbon-copying Flashback's plot.

There are parts pf the game.. that this screen appears to me... and it bugs some game stuffs like.. teleportation after a job complete (in* New Washington)
someone knows how to disable this?

I had the same problem, but then I decided to press the other + -button on the keyboard 6 times - it worked.

Well, that's because you cared to read the readme on the crack file. Not all do that.

Just wondering, did that CD version ever get uploaded anywhere?

The Fifth Horseman 17-05-2006 10:17 AM

Happens that I wrote the review and submitted the archive for it a few weeks ago. It should appear on the site shortly, altough its actual superiority over the original can be questioned. Especially the outro sequence - the one in the original was much better IMO, especially the music.

Well i've been using REminescence but i can't seem to get music with it even though i got the Amiga .MOD sound files, so i have no idea what the end music is like anyway =)

The Fifth Horseman 17-05-2006 03:30 PM

DosBox runs Flashback perfectly - WITH music, if you wanted to ask.

Thanx, i'll try it next time i fee like playin it (in a few years probably) cuz i finished it without music already....i had forgotten how short this game was! =D
