Nop minors can't donate blood...
About others I'd be willing to donate bone marrow to someone who is close to me if need be...

I've donated blood once. Its not so bad and I'll probably do it again sometime. Im goning to register my self as an organ donor at some stage.
Hell I wont need them when Im dead!! LOL

In the US you can donate blood once your 17.

To donate bone marrow, they put you under w/ a general anesthetic, then proceed to stick about a foot long needle into your pelvic bones and lower spinal area to extract liquid marrow. The site said "minor" pain or soreness for a few days, but you should be back on your feet in about a week.

WHen a site says minor, you know they're lying.

I'm a fairly regular blood donor - every few months or so. Also, I'm registered as an organ donor in case something happens to me. Hey, it's not like I'd need them anymore, and it could save someone's life.

I have donated blood several times, and I think I am an organ donor though I don't remember. (just, don't ask)

I don't think I'm old enoguh to give blood yet, but I certainly will when I am old enough.

I am an organ donor though, I signed up on the application for my driving licence (there's a little boxout on the form you send off, which really fills you full of confidence).

As for the bone marrow, it sounds pretty nasty, though it might come in handy if for some reason I don't want to go to work for a week or something.

I would donate if I matched someone's tissue and they really needed it, but one of the things about becoming a Marrow donor is that you have to be willing to go in on short moments notice. They call you when they have someone that matches your tissue and needs your marrow, and you're expected to be able to go in as soon as possible to donate.

I didn't, mainly because they say I can't donate because of an old (and solved) anevrysme problem, But my cardiologue and I agree I should be able to...

I wouldn't mind being organ donor, after all...

I've donated blood several times and I dont mind it, but theres something about the sensation of my blood through a straw that gets me lightheaded everytime
