Yeah I know Lemmy thinks that, but still the type of music they do is metal through and through, the arrangements, instrumentation used, they are metal whether he likes it or not. ;) It's like Def Leppord saying they aren't glam rock, they can deny it as much as they want, but their music videos and all they did in the 80's speaks otherwise.

I think the reason most people wouldn't classify a band like Motorhead as metal is because the term 'metal' nowadays covers a spectrum of much heavier bands - death metal for example, drop d guitars and screaming vocals - but of course those of us in the know (like me :P) realise they fit well into the category they belong to - 1970's heavy metal. Oh and of course I love rock. Rock 'n' roll! \m/

I Love Rock!!! Although i agree with Tulac and DeathDude, Rock n' Roll is 50's crap that just bores me (some good tho, and you have to admire the roots of Rock) and Motorhead is heavy metal, but the older style of heavy metal. I am in a band, our name is Daemos and we play stuff like AC/DC, Guns n' roses, iron maiden (visit our website made by me in flash, btw im only 13 so its good for a kid) because alot of the newer stuff has no tune to it, wheras the older stuff does! ROCK ON!! :brain:
