I get the beeper sound. If this game is really from '88 it isn't likely to have even AdLib... but the graphics seemed newer than that.

Also, this game can't be from 1988... The movie was released on June 9th 1989 (according to IMDB.com) and at that time having games released together/before the movie wasn't the trend...

ADDED: By looking at the box scan it says 1989. Maybe admin should fix.

Cheers.

The game was actually published in 1989. I had a typo there.
You really know your Star Trek history. :)
Your sound is coming through your external speakers isn't it? Intro music etc.

Yes I'm using DOSBox, it emulates the beeper through the Windows sound driver so I hear it through the "nice" speakers (back then the beeper was also known as "PC Speaker"). I tried a couple of command-line options such as "st5 adlib" etc. but it's no use.

But I also like the beeper, it sounds really retro... makes me remember the good old days...

Hello - I'ma big fan of Star Trek - never seen this one before ;]
[/b]
Hang on a sec. I'm going to download the zip and check it out.

EDIT: The name of the zip file was changed from what was uploaded. As a result the directory name that it extracts to (as a default) is different than what the game expects. The directory needs to be named TREK5. Thanks to Henry (see below) for pointing that out.

:sos: Please help. I did this renaming the directory to TREK5. But it still wants the #3 disk inserted.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
