from what i remember i had to win in rummy against some guy to get some device needed at the end of the game.

great game though, even if it took a hundred tries to make it through the ice...

Not rummy. Dice.

Hey JMB - just checked back on this thread. My apologies! If you could send over what you have that'd be very cool! PM me and we can exchange email addresses.

THANKS!

Decoding messages...

Hey guys,

I've just received the encoded radio messages, then converted the letters I got into numbers w/the decoder book. I understand that you're then supposed to find the page, line and word that correspond to those numbers in the manual.

Problem is, things don't always match up, particularly for the CIA messages.
I always get numbers like 88-9-3 and not only does pg 88 not exist, neither does line 9. I am able to get the first (Washington) message... but even though I've been restoring time after time to get diff numbers, I can't seem to get a sequence that allows me to decode the CIA message.

Any help please?? :(

If I remember correctly the CIA messages need to be decoded differently than the Washington messages. Go to this link and scroll down to the decoding section and see if that helps.

That is a little better, but still confusing... I'll try it out when I get a chance to play this weekend... thanks anyway! :)

I'm looking forward to try out yet another sierra title I did not know existed until I search around on this site. Sierra games were my favorite back in the day. It will be nice to discover some more for the first time.
