After all, we are *supposed* to be civilized.

We are seeing a new age of nuclear proliferation, which is quite a scary thing. It will cause people to make rash choices, instead of rational ones.

There are already reports of hardline stances being taken by both South Korea and Japan, with some Japanese higher-ups thinking they should scrap their current "defence only" military strategy.

And all this is avoiding the problems in the rest of the world... not least instability in Africa (Sudan, Somalia and Zimbabwe), a massive insurgency in northern Pakistan (another nuclear armed state), sabre-rattling Russia, and who knows what China is thinking...

Seriously, they should assassinate Kim II-sung - Problem solved.
He's the only guy there who wants nuclear weapons while all others are starving.

North Korea's only flexing, saying "look, we ACTUALLY did it! HOLY SHIT!"

plus military wise, other then human wave attacks, NK is nothing. They're technologically and tactically behind the world. In the time it takes a North Korean missile to fly halfway across the globe, the U.S will have shot it down, plus you forget, the U.S can use nukes against Korea, and unlie kthe U.S, korea HAS NO missile defense technology, and China's not abotu to give them those (China is NK last friend, but ewven they know it'll look bad)

So basically we're looking at covert war here. RoK will send intellegiance, America will send intel, heck everyone will, they'll shut down NK nuclear program within 5 years!

Military intervention, that's the way to go.

The biggest problem is the potential for selling the weapons and/or technology to people who are crazy enough to use it. That is what could start the military intervention. The US and other countries in the area have already said that they will intercept any ships suspected of carrying nuclear weapons or technology and NK has said it will use military force in retaliation if that happens.

You can't invade NK mainly because the people will be against you when you arrive. Also, I should install World in Conflict again.

They're mostly starving anyway. What are they going to do? Attack you with a withered potato?

Which also brings up the point that this isn't "for the greater good," people only like to invade places with resources to take. Millions of famished people aren't that, and it's horrible.
