Sayyyy whaaaaa?

The only way for any software company to take over the world is to become greater, more popular, and bigger then apple, Microsoft, and Linux combined!

(Can't wait to see what kinda software shows up in 2012!)

And this is why I dropped Microsoft.

Linux never downloads an update without your permission. If you turn updates off, they will STAY off and NOT download or install without YOUR permission!!!! Also, even if you do choose to download Linux updates, it will not automatically restart your computer. YOU choose when to restart, rather than that idiotic "Updates have been installed. Your computer will restart in 5:00 unless you click Restart Later." But, even if you CLICK Restart Later, the box comes back in 5 minutes!!!!! Not in Linux. In Linux, it only asks you once "Restart Now or Restart Later?" And if you hit Restart Later, the box NEVER returns until the next update that requires a restart to apply!

And that is why I am a proud user of Linux.

:dunno: Never happened to me, maybe it's only WinXP???

BTW, I have Ubuntu installed and it crashes a lot and is slower than Win7.

Try Xubuntu, it's a light-weight version of Ubuntu. Also on WinXP updates stay off once disabled, at least on Service Pack 2 (and 2 is even now perfectly enough for me). Probably changed with Vista and 7.

Naah, I don't really need Linux.
I'll stick with Windows since it's better. :bleh:

Bah. Operating system wars. If you hate MS, just pirate Windows. You get the full functionality of Windows without feeding Bill Gate's money machine or whatever.
