Also, after you familiarize yourself with Civ5 (it's quite a simple game, unlike previous, Civ4) - check Warlock: Master of the Arcane. It's quite good attempt to recreate Master of Magic. They still have big problems with enemy AI and balance, but for me it's still most successful attempt to capture MoM feeling so far.

Seconded. I bought it in the flash sale, after watching TB's WTF on it. It's an awesome little gem, and yes, the best spiritual successor to MoM near and far.

TY, mates, for support and advices,
You very kind.

Excuse me for the delayed answer. Instead of building Rome, 2 days i was not Caesar but ordinary vine picker..
And with a clipper in my hand harvested vines - sadly- because of no rains the harvest is not good.

..Anyway i made many attempts to progress in CiV 5. At last very small success - I found the town of Rome. Yes, i dully read the instructions of my advisers.
Still newborn baby.
Still.....
The graphic is nice.
Because i am novice, still not enjoyed..
Hmmmm... in Warcraft 1 the peasants built the farms, barracks and like and this process was easy and simple.
Hope to meet same here..

I want to lead tank unit! I am ex-tank commander of 12 tanks.

Dear Smiling Spectre,
Spocibo for recommending me the game. I will try it in a mean moment.

Dear Hunvagy
When You recommend some game, it is mandatory for me.

Hehe, well see for yourself, it is nice.

As for building, Civilization has nothing in common with Warcraft or Age of Empires. Forget those games, quick. In Civ, your city houses all your people, it builds itself, not the units. The units are there to find new cities, improve nearby lands, scout and fight for you. Your city grows along with its influence circle, and you can use your settlers to improve the nearby lands (At least that was the case with Civ 1-4, don't know about 5, I heard they changed it.) You have to get used to a different mindset, Civ is empire building, not some RTS with unit rushing.

I give up

Bad and bad news.
So bad that i was forced to uninstall CiV5.

- Why, brave?
Do You want to play game which needs 17 minutes to download? No of course.
Do You want to play game which freezes every 2 minutes and You have to use Ctrl+Alt-Del to receive message "Came closed"? No of course.

Moreover I press on Adviser button. Nothing happen.
And more and more. Not game but torture..

-Why so?
Because minimal system requirements for CiV 5 are:
- 2 GB RAM - yoga = 1.5 GB RAM
- Dual core processor - yoga = AMD 1.4 GHz
In this case i am not so lucky as with Oblivion...

To be or not to be? - is the question..

Blood in my hearth, tears in my eyes.
I am able right now to increase my RAM from 1.5 to 2 GB.
But CPU remains weak.
I plan to play The witcher 2 (min 4 GB RAM and powerful CPU). So the radical solution is to change MB, CPU and min. 4 GB RAM with option for more RAM.
.......
Maybe, maybe i will try games CiV 3 and new recommended Warlock. Master of the Arcane.

Dear mates and especially Senor Japo, please, excuse me i failed in project CiV 5.
Not me, my PC is betrayer.
But this game is registered in my listing Future games..

Also i want to be excused by our nice Mod.

yoga failed Caesar

Absolutely.

I played 1 year World of Xeen and 7 times Ultima 8 Pagan.
But I passed both games.
I am tenacious player.
The first game with my new, modernized PC will be CIV5.

The only game I do not pass is Dungeon Master 2.
I failed because did not used my both hands but only one for mouse movement. Well, when final battle comes i am unable to be so fast with one hand only. The solution was to use right hand with mouse to shot, to cast and left hand to move.
But i keep my last save file of this game. Maybe after time i will start to practice correct moving management and win the final battle.

The worse thing is that no good games remain for brave.
Only 1 game before modernizing my PC...Temple...
