Should be, haven't had time to try it myself, besides I switched to Win7 2 years ago. Because it's so much better :p As I stated somewhere else before, XP gave me the chills, and Win7 ran Deathtrap Dungeon WITH SOUND out of the box. Anyway, just grab the package and read the release notes, it has every info you need.

OK,
I will try this gem on my ME and XP and report You, Dear Hunvagy.

Yoga, your bravery requires from you to test it with System Shock 2.
I played it like 2 years ago, with some unofficial patch for higher resolution, maybe some previous version of here mentioned one. It's just perfect!
I'm planing to try Bioshock as well, in near future.

:hihihi:
Dear BranjoHello,

brave smashed Lords Xeen and Chaos and i believe he will send to another better world final boss(es) of SS2.
But why no one said good (bad) word for SS1?

:picard:

Rats!

My first attempts to install SS2 under XP failed.
Long story to explain.

Started second.

The game itself and its installer too are hard to run in most Windows systems. But the good news is that installing it is much easier than running the installer: just copy the "shock" folder from the CD into your hard disk.

It won't probably run, though, and you'll probably have to patch it further. I haven't tried this one yet.

Hehe, looks damn good.

Some more info:
Installed SS2 without probs in Win7/32 , full sized installation from original CD (NOT in prog files, but on E:\partition)
Applied patches.
Runs fine, no comp settings needed.
Lovely 1920x1080 setting.

Here goes my free time ................ :D

Main Gott!

Friend showed me this gem!!

So scary. All the night i woke up in sweat - it is like Doom 3 but more terrible game, maybe, Dosraider?

No, no when i start this game, pls some very, very brave gamer to be with me and the lighting to be at least 500 wats.

Not for weak hearths?
Have to be brave as Dosraider ...or maybe humble brave?

Same here, finally got around to test it. Installed from the CD without a hitch, applied 2.3 patch (which surprisingly also worked, even though the installer was ancient). Then just added 2.4 and voila. Though I had to manually add the 1920x1080 to the available resolutions, but after that, worked like a charm :)

Not same here. My second attempt to run it under XP Pro failed again.
Note: It was started before above directions.
But i will do my best to start this gem (after Dosraider).
I do not know this game still, but with all my respect will tell that for me gems are:
-MoM
-Doom2
-Dune2
-DM1&2
-BoK
-Arena
-FT
-AitD1,2,3
