Yes!!!!* Tekwar was the one, wouldn't have known if it weren't for the screen shots - thanks Wired.* So whats its status, is it freeware yet?* Big red racer was the racing game - i loved the two player option.* The caveman one still unsure about but I'll check out the one on the site to check.

Thanks all.
Lechuck

Well, it isn't sold anymore and it's impossible to find even on the net (well hard at least because I haven't found it) so I'm guessing it'd fall under abandonware. I've actually never played the full game, only the demo back when it came out.

William Shatner's TekWar

Does anybody know anything about those old Pc gamers discs???
They were black and red and had really great demos on them?? Help me!!
There was a game called Tech War! I think! There were a lot of other games like a really cool car game where you had to drive around and find some items.
There were lots of game demos. But I cant find a single one. I need help!
I think they were Pc Gamer discs. I have no idea where I got the discs because I never had the magazines. If you know anything then please help me!
:help:

This site do not offer demos for download and you can bet that most, if not all, of the games on the Pc Gamer Demo Disk are too young and/or too big to be abandonware. If you yould be talking about the little 3" disquettes it would be different, but since you specified cd's then that's it.

xoopx 12-05-2005 09:16 PM

a lot of websites have old demos, search using google! sites like download.com etc

Zeropixel 13-05-2005 12:42 AM

Those cds are like a million years old and those games act like they dont exist. And I tried Google!!!!!!!

try PC Gamer's site? Not sure, but I think they have archives of (at least what was on) the old disks.

Do you mean "William Shatners: Tek War". I remember the demo being on one of the Pc Gamer CDs years ago.

http://www.classicpcgames.com (?3.99)

It was just the first level. (With some sort of monorail thing going round a city block at the end of it).
