I keep getting an error when I go to the Kindom in texas. "51" just pops up in the upper right corner and then it exits, what's up with that?

I Also get the 51 or 52 error from vegas to graceland. I run XP/

Yeah, I was curious about this myself. I download and played the game about 2 years ago, and after getting that far into the game, I got the same error you guys got at the same moment. I even went as far as to install it on my old 100mhz Windows 95 PC, but to no avail. So as a result, I am reluctant to try again for fear of a similar fate. Anybody who can figure out a way around that is a better man than I.

Everybody should post their computer stats. Maybe there's a common thread.

At first I thought that "51" error was some kind of copy protection due to my inability to answer those spare parts codes effectively. Now looking at these replies I'm not so sure. Sebantianos?

I'll download this game archive again and check it. Maybe it got corrupted while I was uploading it. I'll try to replace it in that case.

This has gotten even stranger...
On the old computer (where I found the game) it all works fine.
But I get the same problem when I try to move the game to this computer... maybe it's because of DOSBox, maybe because it's a copy not the original game...
Unfortunetely I haven't the original instalation disks - so I've no idea how to fix it (but I'll keep on trying).

I just downloaded the game today and i was so so excited. Like Perry Mason and the the case of the mandarin murder I did not finish the game way back in the 90's when I was playing it. Guess back then I had no idea how to look up stuff on the net :) But every time alas that I was so close to finishing the game I also got the error 51. So I looked up what error 51 in dos meant and it was like something remote computer inaccessible. Something like that. I thought it was my virus scan running. Heck my husband tried everything and nothing works.
But I also run xp so maybe it has something to do with xp.

I hope we can figure it out at some point. I so wanna finish the game!! :) This site rox btw.

Thanks for bringing back those old games that i was too dumb to figure out when i was a kid :)

This same 51 error occurs with me at the same point in the game. I am reluctant to delete the game because of how far I am and yet I'll probably never figure out how to fix it. I already tried redownloading game: didn't work...:wall:

I used Dosbox with Win98 SE.
The suggestion of looking for original disks looks fine but I thought of about a more complicated idea; making a patch. But I can't do any programming stuff.
