Just need pixelling how?

If you've got some outlines I could colour them if you want.

Kon-Tiki 09-10-2005 12:11 AM

I've got the general characteristics. They just need to be drawn out, in pixel-painting (probably a bit of looks design, too  )

Edit: One's especially a challenge. Moogle, I'll PM you the specs for that one (you're the best one for this job :D )

I have to agree :)
Keep it up, but I have to say that it is harder to create own sprites, than remaking them.

Nice work, guys :ok:

The way I copy sprites it makes it harder. I openn th game. Then zoom 8x and copy each pixel in the proper colours and stuff. When I design my own sprite I can do whatever I want with it. You need to be patient when copyng sprites. It takes hours.

Thats EXACTLY how I did it too, mainly it takes patience, and you have to be able to acurately guage how many dots/squares/pixels one section is :)

Yeah, I'll make another next time I play a pixelly game. Which should be pretty soon.

.:EDIT:.
Moogle, what zoom is the enlarged sprite by? Percentage I mean. Or if in paint x#.

You don't have to tell me that ;)

As a kid, I remember I took a math paper (those with all the squares printed on) and used color pencils to copy a sprite from one of the DOOM games. I waited until one of the flying skulls would attack, and then when it was almost in my face, I paused the game and started coloring the pixel pattern onto the paper. Then I opened Paintbrush (Win 3.11) and created the sprite. It took me days :P

Nowadays, things go faster.

That castle and Lemmings took me, I think, 2-3 hours to make.

Abi79 09-10-2005 02:01 PM

Wow. In Paint ? :kosta:

Bobbin Threadbare 09-10-2005 02:01 PM

Woah! That's great! I bet it took the lemmings a while too.

Kon-Tiki 09-10-2005 02:04 PM

That castle looks familiar  Simply can't say from where, though.
