i found that the easiest way to take care of the "insert CD" problem was to edit the SETUP file. not the executable, the other one. i changed the fourth line to read:
SOURCE_PATH=C:\ALBION\CD\ALBION\ where i had installed the game to C:\ALBION\ then moved the directory CD into the game directory. im pretty sure this just told it to look there for the cd. |

I installed this game yesterday...
One question: isn't the introsequence supposed to be working? The game as such is running smoothly, I'm just worried I'm missing out on something great... And worried what else might not be working, when this intro isn't... |
Dear Sheldon!
Thanks for the manual!!! I have installed now the game and it is running well in DosBox. Know I am getting to the saved files... :) It is a great game! :) Szilvio |
Hi guys,
I've just found my old albion CD and tried to install it on vista, but no joy. It won't even let me start the setup, something about it not running in fullscreen mode. Can anyone help? I'm not using my personal computer at the moment, not sure if i can find this forum again, so if anyone can help, could they please email me? [BEEEP]@hotmail.com Cheers, albion rocks btw Alex |

Hi, everyone. I just started playing Albion and it seems like a great game. However, there is a small issue that I could use help with that is causing some problem for me.
I found a pdf copy of the manual on another site, and it gave me the impression that when the mouse scrolls over an object you can interact with such as a cabinet or chest, the pointer turns from the regular grey arrow to a gold arrow. I'm not getting this effect at all however, running it in DosBox on my MacBook. The only time the cursor turns gold is when I place it over Tom himself. This is really annoying because I have no way to tell if I can interact with an object except to hold the apple button and click on it to simulate a right click. Frequently only the "Main Menu" option pops up and I have to simulate another right click to exit. I'm not sure I can play through a game which seems to be so massive and immersive with this trial and error approach to finding what objects I can interact with. Thanks in advance for your help. Does the cursor turn gold for anyone else and if so how do you think I can get this to happen for me? |

So you have to make tries on each item. Just move to the object and one left click if it is allowed to interact, than you wil have an extra button in menu... Szilvio |

Szilvio [/b][/quote] Sorry not left click, but RIGHT click, and than you have extra button in menu "manipulate", than you can interact. (I have a left hand mouse.... :) ) Szilvio |
Does anyone know the specific instructions to increase attributes in Argim encounters? I just can't remember it and as far as I know there's no option to repeat it.
Thank you very much. Steve |
