Although i choosed "free mode" the game ends and i can't figure out what the condition is.
My Ranking is Freeman and have about a million in cash.
Really sad that you can't just continue ... the only options you have is to retry(wich just restarts the game) or to exit :(

Hm maybe your character died? Even in free mode survival is important. So if you want to play as long as possible, start with one of the young healthy people, not the old moneybags. Go to bed early, watch your health...

I have 20 years in the game and a health to 74.

So I don't understand why the game ends.

I play the game in freemode in impossible level.
I play in Paris, and I Have 10% of Market share and 100 000 of money
Just after 3 Month of game (I am in May), I win the party...

You just have to end the day and you will win.

Freemode or not really freemode...
 

Hi,

I can confirm that this is happening with my game as well.
Paris, Impossible level.
I'm not even halfway through the social/underground status, but I'm just shown with the "animation" that I'm the king, and that I might try some other challenges, like transportation. I'm sure I'm not dead, as I'm shown as a king sitting between two girls.

I would really like to be able to keep playing.
Anybody has any ideas why is this happening, or how to disable the "end game" event, and enable the true freemode?

That is very strange, I did not even know the game could be "won". Never heard of it, can't find anything and nothing about it in the manual.
Maybe it is some sort of special thing about "impossible" difficulty? If you survive 3 months? Seems unlikely.
But the manual does not even mention a difficulty mode. Got the real paper thing here.
Please make some screenshots and upload the savegames somewhere!
