running in windows

Use DOSBox.

SuLily 29-10-2007 09:50 PM

I can't get it to play! I'm using DosBox but when I click the 'Main.exe' it says something about some file called Kallak.wsa

Mighty Midget 29-10-2007 09:58 PM

Um, what do you mean "when you click..."? DOSBox isn't icon based. You need to type the commands/file names.

Could you please post your DOSBox configuration file, especially the end, after the lines saying "autoexec". Also, please post the exact path of your game folder as well as the name of that folder.

I'm using NORTON COMMANDER with DOSBox, maybe that explains the change.

My path: C:\Documents and Settings\NEW Dell 4600\My Documents\Mixed Up Fairy Tales

*yes long

Mighty Midget 29-10-2007 10:08 PM

Ok, that last folder's name is problematic: Shorten the name to 8 characters or less, and no space or special characters. Keep it simple. See if that helps.

EDIT: Please post BOTH the configuration for DOSBox, your mount command is particularily interesting, and the folder's path.

changed to OGAMES, but it didn't help, still game me the same error! grrrrr

Mighty Midget 29-10-2007 10:16 PM

PLEASE!: You still haven't posted your configuration for DOSBox.

SuLily 29-10-2007 10:23 PM

Sorry, took me awhile to figure out what it was you wanted:

[autoexec]
# Lines in this section will be run at startup.

mount C "C:\Documents and Settings\NEW Dell 4600\My Documents\ogames"
C:

C:\NC\NC.exe

Mighty Midget 29-10-2007 10:24 PM

Ok, remove the quotation marks, save and restart DOSBox. See if that does the trick.
