My predicitons:

USA-CZE 2 ----> Czech Republic wins
ITA-GHA 1 -----> Italy wins
AUS-JAP X ------> A tie (I agree with TheVoid.)

Well a tie between Australia and Japan would be the best outcome for us...

I don't know. I don't think this year's Brazil to be any stronger than last World Cup. Back then they still had a Ronaldo in shape and a decent goalie as Marcos. And Rivaldo, too. Now Ronie has gained weight, Adriano is far from its best, and if Dida is going to play as he did in the last half of italian championship, then gaah. Of course there're still Robinho, Ronaldinho and Kak?.
I don't know too much about Croatia, but they do have a pretty good offensive line (Klasnic, Kranjkar and Prso).
My bets are the same as Overlord. Usa could be a surprise tho.

I don't know if you were ironic, but nevertheless you have a tough group, I must say. Apart from Czech Republic, Italy is always a big threat even though their attackers (Gillardino and Toni) suffered a slump in their form, but they are still highly valued - I think around ?40 million. Ghana is also very good, they have few great players like Essien from Chelsea and Appiah (he used to play for Juventus). There's also experienced full back Kuffour.

I don't know much about US team, I only heard for Reyna and DeMarcus Beasley. But who knows, they might show as a surpise of World Cup. :)

No, I wasn't being ironic or sarcastic. US has some really really tough teams to play. We don't stand a chance
