I wouldn't buy a new game because it had excellent graphics when I could have the old one that was actually more fun to play! |

On the other hand, good sites with reviewed abandoned games are few. And deservedly proud. :D |
well, keen1 & 4 aren't really shareware...
i think a better definition would be freeware portions of a complete release. if you had the full version of these titles, you wouldn't have 1 and 4 with more features, you would have 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5. 1 and 4 would be unchanged. and, therefore, as there are no differences between the freely available 1 and 4 and the registered 1 and 4, they are both technically freeware. |

i mean, i can't imagine why some new gamer, 18 or 20 years old, would prefer buying Wolfenstein3d to doom3 or any similar recent game. |

I don't think all of the Duke Nukem games are non-freeware, unlike what's said on the site. I'm pretty sure you can download one of the older versions from the official site.
Also, looking at the list, I have one conclusion - George Lucas is an a-hole :P |

Thanks for the list. Time for a cross-check with my oldies list.
