I use Vista. And while windows thinks it is a windows batch file...it will not work on windows. It will only work in Dos, just run the file in Dosbox. Do you know how to use Dosbox, do you need helping mounting the game in Dosbox. I don't see why you haven't run the file yet....

What the...I have no idea why you have it inside all those folders. Here just do this. (If you have spaces and such in a mount line you will need to put "" around it but for now just do what I say below.)

Unzip the U7 zip, make a folder on your F: drive called oldgames, put the U7 folder into the oldgames folder.

Open dosbox and use these mount lines:

Mount c f:\oldgames
c:

Then:

cd u7
dosbox

it says unable to change to u7

If its a folder that isn't possible...you unzipped the zip right? All there should be in your Oldgames folder is a U7 folder which has all the U7 files in it.

it came up with an error while trying to install and it says down the bottom of dos
unable to copy install.exe
file u7.cfg not found
illegal command ultima7.com
the file is unziped

Installing? Whaaaaa. I have no clue what you are doing man. All you needed to do was run the Dosbox.bat inside Dosbox nothing else.
