It is better to give the preview as a PM. That way it is still a mystery for the rest of us :ok:

I dont know. I think I'll put it in my art thread. Look and comment if you like.

hmm, i'm not sure about giving any hints...

you know, i'm always for feedback about art. but in this case, ppl not showing
a preview of their work and thus not receiving hints about what to improve might
feel/be disadvantaged...

So it is bad or good that ppl get hints? (dont understand...)

It's good for them, 'cause they know how to improve their work.
It's bad for others competitors who don't get advices about their works.

So, I'd say that from a democratic point of view it's bad that you post your work before it's finished. :P

Therefore, don't post it again, unless it's the final version - which in that case you have to post in the contest thread :ok:

I done a color and BnW version but cant decide which to put in the contest.
A little help?

Follow the following scheme, as follows:
-Watch both works.
-Decide which it's cooler for you, which one you would choose if you were to judge them.
-Think if it's finished or not, if you can still make it better since you got lot of time to do it.
-If you've by now decided which one to post, see below.
-Post it here.

i can't add much to void's advise, which should prove useful to you.

all i can say is, that in most cases coloured works have more life in them than
b/w ones. but don't make a rule out of this...

what might also be of help is when you show your art to your friends and get
some feedback from them.

other than that you should really try avoiding to speed things up. this is by no
means necessary for you have enough time to think about your contribution,
so you should relax and work on it as good as you can.

the more time you spend on your artwork the better will be the result!

True, true... :D

Oops, just got ticked off by data - didn't realise this discussion was languishing at the bottom of the board. Anyhoo, are we going to get a chance to vote on the winner of this? A poll would be neat methinks.
